My glass is raised to a true gent of angling....Hope he's catching some barbel and chub in that great chalk stream in heaven.....

I had the pleasure of fishing with Pete and pleasure is the right word. There was a standing joke about Pete, you would here the old cycle rattling down the Thames towpath and is was reckoned that he was off the bike and fishing before the pedals stopped spinning! He was called the first gentleman of angling and you will not find another who was so kind to everyone he met. A toast tonight to a great angler and friend. Pete you are still missed, I suspect by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing you. To the great gentleman of angling. You will never be forgotten my friend.
