Certainly the basis for more investigation Nobby, Sir. An excellent find ! Thank you.

In the 1901 census there is a Bernard Sealey he lives with his wife & 3 daughters and 4 year old son Bernard.Bernard is listed as a Fishing Rod Maker
There was also a Walter Sealey living with his Wife and 2 daughters at 13 Bates Hill.He is listed as a Cabinet Maker but his eldest daughter May was a hook tier at the age of 14 as were a number of their neighbours. By 1911 it appears Walter had died as his Wife is listed as a widow in the cencus. Both these Families were from the same church district.
Looking through these records it would seem a lot of the men were employed in the cycle industry and their wives and children made fishing hooks or needles and tied flys or hooks to gut.

There are three things that improve with age: wine, friendship and water sense, and there's no short cut.

Nobby,
My guess is that Ray would have a definitive answer!
