Brilliant, we had lots of hump-backed bridges over the Fenland drains in years past, so that would make them feel at home ! :Chuckle:

I'd love to know if these rings are still available anywhere ( very doubtful I know ) as I'd like to refit as near original as possible.

I'm very grateful to AshbyCut for his help and observations on this rod, which seems likely to have been a one-off commission by Precision Rods

I’ve never seen this before, I wonder what the logic was? Or just pure aesthetics?

Are the legs of the rings joined together. If not they look a little like the ones where the legs are bound to the blank on either side. This would make the ring lower looking once on the rod.
I had a similar one on a combination rod extension section which had a split ring to allow the section to be fitted or removed without the need for breaking down the tackle.
