Un-named 3 piece fly rod.

Post by AshbyCut »

Things really are getting back to normal.

A gentleman in Scotland emailed me after finding my little website (so much for Googlegeddon !!!) on the internet and emailed asking my advice about a rod he has.

The upshot is ... It's 50 up as far as the collection goes now !

Winging it's way to me is a Precision Rods 3 piece, 8ft. 1 1/2in. split cane fly rod with a 12 inch handle. It needs to be stripped and brought back to life ... but it's yet another example of this company's practice of making rods without being named by them. It's therefore either a 'prototype, or made to a customer's specification. This is made obvious by the fact that there is no gap between the Precision Rods shield transfer and the whipping immediately beneath it (which is obviously original) to allow for the writing of a model name.

Better pictures to follow when it arrives.
