Yours looks like a user straightaway where as mine needs err "some" work! :laugh: at £12.50 you can't go wrong can you!

Hovis,

I bid on the Sharpes last night and then worked out the cost of a full refurb and decided not to bid again. Do you intend to use genuine Sharpes bits to put it right ? :-)

No I don't think so it will just become a user rod the handle looks ok and I can re-whip and finish the rod myself just hoping I can find somebody to solder that butt ring back into shape, maybe a jeweller could do it?

Yes, that could be tricky. If the soldering is not done carefully the lining will crack. I had intended to strip it right back to the cane and source Sharpes spares but that would be very expensive and time consuming.

Mmmm in that case a replacement may be a better option? Have to see what the rest of the rings are like first
