Shield on rod. Help please.

Post by OldAngler »

On a rod I acquired recently is a badge / (heraldic) shield in red with gold and black edge. The only letters showing on the shield are ' M ' at the beginning and ' EZ ' at the end, (capitals), with space for three or possibly four letters between. Underneath written in Indian ink is the name 'Juno.'
It looks like a spinning rod, seven feet long, two piece.

Does anyone know the manufacture's name?

Thank you in advance.

Gentlemen,
Thank you for your suggestions.
The problem is that if all the letters are block capitals, like to M and EZ, then there is space for only three or four letters between. I thought MORDEX but the end is EZ not EX.
It may never be solved!
Thanks again.

It will be Martinez, not all of the badges were identical! :Hat:

Many thanks. It looks as though it is a Martinez.

I think the rods name - Juno - gave it away!
