It doesn't appear to be and to be honest, on closer more detailed inspection, I think some of you may be right saying it's glass, as it is very smooth and uniform in colour. It seems to have cork pushed into the ferrules and I would have thought a cane rod would have felt a little heavier than this one does.

As a little foot note, I did hint on my feedback on eBay that I thought postage was a bit steep, seeing as the stamp says £5.66 and the cardboard tube it came in was probably acquired from a carpet shop. The rod isn't in it's original bag, but in an Edgar Sealey one which I think someone mentioned, whioch seems to also be in pretty good condition for it's probable age.

Still, for 99p who's complaining? Not me. :ok:

Agreed. Use it and enjoy it. I would have loved one of those back in the 60s or early 70s

The bag is probably worth a fiver, so you have a free rod...enjoy!
