Foreshaws of Liverpool Firecrest 12'

I have just acquired the above rod and it looks to be in reasonable condition and will look much better after a little TLC. However the ring and ferrule whippings appear to be a bit of a mishmash.
The butt section has red with black trim by the top of the handle. However the butt ring and ferrule are copper wire with black trim.
The middle section rings are red with black trim and the ferrules are copper wire with black trim.
The top section intermediate rings are red with black trim but the tip ring and ferrule are copper wire with black trim.
all intermediate whippings are black.
Can anyone tell me if these are the original whipping colours or if not what should they be?
