E L Sowerbutts

Post by Leigh »

This rod was amongst a bundle of rods I collected today, having seen a few on the forum from the Sowebutts makers, this one is made by EL Sowerbutts.

No identification of model or did they not inscribe on their rods? The reel bands denote the Sowerbutts logo.

One for restoring in the future:

I should add this rod is 12ft long, if anyone recognises the model type.

They did some and some Leigh as far as I can tell as I have a few like 'the Master' etc and several without any model name.
Lovely rods deserve greater recognition beyond just the roach poles.
