Somewhere once on a forum .... it may well have been maggotdrowners...a lady joined and gave some info about Pegley Davies. As I recall, it was her father and uncle who set it up.
One so often finds that defunct companies have been bought and are only wound up and dissolved years later. For instance, Marco were owned by a business in Dorking Surrey, long after they ceased trading in Kent, and were only wound up in the late Nineties!

PD seems to have been 'incorporated 16.5.1946 and I have a 1977 catalogue so they lasted that long.

I had no idea they had exported though!

The baits inside the boxes are stunning, made by Percy Wadham and Im still trying to work out the what, why how and where.

I would like to know who the two guys where if anyone knows.

The pike outfit looks 1950's as well.

Nobby any lures in the 1977 catalogue?

I would like to see any other catalogues if anyone has any?

Cheers

Stef

Allcocks Alasticum was single strand when I used it - precarious when playing pike! One severe kink and it broke quite easily.

Newer but still single Alasticum still available!

My mistake Stefan, I have an image of a 1977 catalogue. My latest actual one is 1970 and it has every lure known to mankind in it! Some, like rubber grubs are discontinued in the back and are offered cheap.

Any Wadham baits listed? I suspect that it might be a little too late.

Sorry Stefan, I only just saw your question. No, there's no Wadhams lures listed in 1970,1969 or even 1962, but they don't name their suppliers often, unless they are the sole distributor...thought they do mention Ingram's 'famous' Mevagissey lures. There is a 'nature' bait listed in 1962 which I think just might be a Wadhams?

Thanks Nobby the Nature baits would have been made by Wadham.
