MARTIN JAMES 7ft SPINNING ? ROD

Good evening all,
I recently purchased a job lot of rods from an auction, most of the lot was really only useful for the rings and fittings but there was one quite nice rod amongst them. It was a Martin James two piece rod of 7ft length, it has a spigot fitting to the joint and has a full set of lined rings, the script on the rod is :- B. M. N. Built with 'Primacane', I am assuming that it is meant as a light spinning rod, I was wondering if anyone has come across this model before and also what the B. M. N. may signify.
The rod :-
The script to the lower section :-
The lined rings :-
Hope it is of interest and I look forward to any comments.
Regards,
John
