Another super-early reel! Unusual level-wind transfer gear there.....it seems to be both brass and aluminium. I guess it's a second version that has been converted to full bail.
Did you sort out the cause of the scraping under the baffle plate OK? My guess would be insufficient shimming, or perhaps incorrect assembly with the shims and washer placed in the wrong order.
