Millwards Magnacast

Post by Pinkster »

I recently bought this wee reel from a well known internet auction site,,,
On first inspection it looked a bit tatty and once i started to strip it, it became clear that it had been repainted in the past.
After speaking to a friend I also found out this reel dates from 1939 and was originally a maroon colour and not black.
so, full strip down, de-grease, primer and paint/lacquer...

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable,
a perpetual series of occasions for hope.
