Ambidex 4fp colours

Post by Jeremy Croxall »

Hi guys,
Does anyone know if the Ambidex 4fp was originally available in a variety of colours other than blue?
I have just stripped one and am wondering what colour paint to use. It looks as though it was blue originally but it has been over painted black at some point.
Thanks and regards.
Jeremy.

I have a Young's reel catalogue and it states for the new number 4 "superbly finished in attractive multi-coloured durable materials " :Hat:

Thanks Harry,
I have seen pictures where the body of the reel is blue and the rotor silver, the spool being a cream colour. I wonder if that's what they mean by multi-coloured?
