Found this on another forum, the reels owner says it is on a five inch Nottingham starback.
Without delving through many posts, I wonder if anybody has any information re the maker, the inscription says something like established Abt 2 centuries ? that must be well prior to Walton ? I am sure the proud owner would love any additional information .

Re: Interesting inscription.
Hi looking through my reference books I have come across the name Eaton Deller of 6&7 Crooked Lane ,London around the 1800s prior to that the same address shows there was George Eaton & Co around 1855/1860 . Hope this is of some help to you .

Re: Interesting inscription.
Lots of hits for Eaton & Dellar on the interweb - mainly for auction house lots - apparently Halford (as in Halford v Skues) used one
