I just acquired one for 30 quid. Its very sturdy and has a very strong rachet. I think i just found the perfect barbel reel to match with my hex avon 11,6 1lb. ?....

I only have the mentor but they are very strong and robust reels. Very under rated too in my opinion. £30 was a bit of a bargain. :Hat:

God never did make a more calm, quiet, innocent recreation than angling.

The guy that sold me the hexagraph rod told me he is yet to find a more robust, appropriately sized and value for money pin for bigger rivers. I now agree. Its an aerial on steroids. Although i suspect you wont see many for sale and if you do they might be more like 50 or 60 quid.
