Romsey Tackle Fair March 9th 2014

Post by Nobby »

I thought this image might assist any newcomers to the South's only vintage tackle fair

Image

You'll see that the venue, the Romsey Community School is actually not in Greatbridge Road, as its address suggests, but in the cul-de-sac called Priestlands near its northern end.

The school entrance comes up on your left soon after turning into Priestlands.

Romsey Community School
Greatbridge Road
Romsey
Hants
SO51 8ZB

Entry £2

Cafeteria with filled-rolls, tea, coffee and bacon rolls open too.

Romsey is a ten minute drive away North from the M27, Junctions 2 or 3, near Southampton.

It is the last week-end day the rivers are open, true....so fish on Saturday and go to the Fair on Sunday......

I'm not personally taking a table there this time, but there will be two halls full of antique tackle stalls.

I'm not sure if I can make it to Romsey this time, but I'll try. A day (or two) fishing, seeing friends, and a visit the fair always make a fine weekend.

By the way, for some of us 'up north', the Redditch fair is also a 'southern vintage tackle fair'

I just hope that area of romsey still isn't underwater by then.

You should add mind reading to your many skills Nobby :Thumb: - I was going to post requesting directions. Top job thank you. This will be my first Romsey Tackle Fair I usually take in the Redditch fair as it's close to home.

See you there :Hat:

I'm tempted to make the effort to get down there this time. My trip to the Test has been cancelled this year so I can pop in and wish dave Steuart a happy birthday as well as indulge in some tackle porn. Thanks for the map Nobby
