Early Strikeright 3-5/8" Centrepin?

Post by Tonytoned »

Hello Everyone

Bought this Centrepin Saturday and thought it might be a strikeright, but although similar it's not actually the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time

Tony :Hat:

The backplate certainly looks like a Strikeright possibly an early one?
Just one more cast love, and I'll be on me way home

What makes you suspect it isn't a Strikeright Tony?

There are lots of Strikeright models with different designs.

I don't know. But I suppose it does look very similar to a friend's tideflo. I 'll have a look properly

There are other models where the check button is in the same position as yours also.

Thanks Luga00. I will try and have a good look around. I did say to the dealer at the time that it looked like a Strikeright. I have an Eton Sun 5" bakelite that has a wing nut for the tension.

I have found some models with the same check button, and the paint colour is also similarto the grey reel. I probably am worried that I don't have enough experience to say that it was a Strikeright out right.
