net handle dimensions

I'm in the process of making a whole cane net handle diameter 20-25mm

Both of mine are about 18-20mm but I have small hands

My two handles are about 4'6 and 5'6 neither is too flexible. I think the trick is not to bore out the centre. Therefore you have the added strength of the nodes which probably stiffen it slightly without adding significantly to the weight

I am 3/4 the way through making a 5ft two piece job, It will average 16mm, but needed to be reduced to 14.5mm for the net ferrule and 12.mm at the joint.
Will finish it tomorrow, so will post some photo's

Smallscale, the flex in my net all comes in the arms. The long handle does have a slight bend in it when lifting a large fish but I try to lift using the netting where possible

Right - the "Walker style" I have has a diameter more like 35 -40mm so considerably larger than all mentioned above: the handles we get in to sell though are much more in line with the diameters mentioned by others above - c. 25mm.
