Handle diameter

Post by BBDave »

I have for the past week or so been shaving down a 2m length of ash and rounding it down it is now around 30mm diameter should i reduce it more? my modern handle is about 22mm but then has foam grips added i have big hands so the ash feels ok so maybe tapering it would suit better?

My Barder net handles are about 22mm which feels right but I guess it is whatever feel right in your hand.

I think I'll taper it i don't want it to look as though a pole axe should be on the top.
