Replacement landing net mesh advice needed please.
Evening all, some advice from the collective is required
I have just got hold of an Effgeeco (?) landing net arms, everything is complete and works as it should but I need to replace the net with a knotless one, each arm is 24 inches and the string bit across the top is also 24 inches, with my limited maths I reckon that makes 72 inches in total, so my questions are.........
Do I try and find a net that will fit a 72 inch circumference or do I need a bigger one ?
Has anyone bought a replacement for their Effgeeco arms and do you have a recommendation ?
many thanks for any pointers

Just yesterday I replaced a net on my new old foldable stalking net. Slightly too big, but that's not a big deal. Too small is what you should avoid. I took a Balzer rubberized "no stink" net which I already had. But well, your net arms are quite big...

I had exactly the same frame and got a black knotless net from Chris Brown (cbproducts.co.uk). It was more expensive than the other replacement nets advertised on the web but well worth the money. Highly recommended. No connection with him :-)

I replaced the net on the Efgeeco landing net I have just started to use with one from Snowbee.I have used it a number of times to land chub( but not barbel )and have not had any problem with the net splitting fins as had been suggested in a previous thread

No-one tried these rubber nets ? I would think they are very fish friendly.

Hi Robbi
I my previous post here I wrote already that I am using such a net. I have two of them. A fine meshed and a coarse one. I like them and can recommend them. They are a bit "stiffer" than the usual nets but they are unbeatable when it comes to barbed hooks as we are told to use here in germany cause catch and release is forbidden anyway.
I use them since several years now so the rubber is quite long lasting. Of course they are not under sunlight 24/365.
They dry quick and are easy to clean and therefore less stinky as well.
I can recommend them.

Thanks for that Chris, can they be wrapped around the folded legs of the landing net quite tightly ?
