I have just restarted Mk3 and after 4 hours i just have the wooden laminated frame.
I hope yours gets christened quickly.
What were your sizes? width and length.
Very well done Sir
Craftsmen is a strong word! Enthusiastic amateur maybe...

As for the sizes, I originally drew around the frame of the net I butchered, just so I knew the mesh would fit. I think it was 24". At the handle end I just scribed around the spreader so the angle was correct. I then drew another line, inside the first, which was the thickness of my ash. Then cut it out with a jigsaw. The original net was a little rounder, but I think I unclamped it a little early so the frame went a little more tear drop shaped, which I quite liked in the end.

If I can get hold of some more spreaders, mk2 will be a little neater. Mk3 might be a little gudgeon net & I think mk4 will be rediculously big! Just need to find more handles now...
