Can't get much more traditional than this.
My split cane landing net handle is a tad restricted in reach at a meagre 51 inches, so when I saw this I simply HAD to pounce on it.
Described as a 'victorian' extending bamboo landing net handle with brass fittings ... it comes with a 'hoop' net head which I think is about 18in. at maximum diameter (perfect for my tiddler snatching !). The handle is apparently 46 inches closed, and 74 inches extended.

Very clever bit of design, I have shorter version myself that came with a combination rod.
Can't help feeling you might need to do something about that mesh

There are three things that improve with age: wine, friendship and water sense, and there's no short cut.
