Knotless 36" carp net mesh
Does anybody know where I can get a replacement 36" mesh suitable for a Walker style net and that is of the traditional style with the 3/4" mesh. It must be totally knotless. All the waters I fish require totally knotless nets but they don't specify a minimum mesh size.

Good evening Beresford,
It, (as I am sure you are aware) is pretty difficult trying to obtain a mesh match that is in keeping for a Walker style net. The best one available and ready to go is from Norman Agutters, the last time I saw one it was brown with pretty close meshing and no knots. They retail for around £35. Drop them an email or phone to see if they are in stock. Other than this you could have one made but the cost can be prohibitive.
Best regards

Re: Knotless 36" carp net mesh
Please don't be tempted to go wide mesh all the way to the base as they rip fins. I use a 'Free Spirit Replacement Green River Mesh 36 Inch' which is olive in colour and has a softer smaller mesh base but is still easily moved through the water and still looks okay on pictures. When you look more carefully at the fins on the fish in the older books you often see damage where they have been cut with the wide mesh.Beresford wrote:Does anybody know where I can get a replacement 36" mesh suitable for a Walker style net and that is of the traditional style with the 3/4" mesh. Hi Shaun,
Many thanks. I'm definitely not going to go for traditional wide mesh – fish care is paramount. I feel bad enough about catching them as it is! I'll check out the Free Spirit mesh you list.

I used something like this on mine....http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-NEW-NGT-36- ... OSw2XFUZjd
It has finer mesh in the base , like the one described by Shaun.

Good afternoon Beresford Sir,
Just a quick line to enquire about your pursuit of a landing net mesh - have you managed to locate what you were after?
