I believe Edward Barder no longer make's these net's so the rarity
value alone will push up the price. When he decided to stop making
them (not sure when) they retailed at £500+
I put my bid in but that was overtaken very quickly.

Indeed but mine was from 1996 and then I bought one made 3 years ago which is about the same so I guess they varied by what he had available at the time.
