Working on two Gye model nets with a Spreader block that is made out off 16 parts.
lot off work but i love to make them like this

Finished the new net, a heaver duty Gye model and i think the best one i made so far

All oak wood hoop and pole with bamboo handle and Acacia wood knob, the spreader block from brass in deco style
The handle can be taken off to make it smaller (transport lenght 98 cm, lenght with handle on 150cm, extended length 220cm :-)

Evert - that is stunning; absolutely a work of utter beauty and function. I have no idea how you even begin to craft such a net.

Tested the net to night and very pleased with the result on this 6kg 130cm long sturgeon, the net was a pleasure to handle with a fish like this Image
