Would it be possible please for someone to supply measurements for a barder or crabtree net please as I have acquired a brass v shaped spreader block, a template would be even better. Kind regards barbelfishet

Hi BarbelFisher,

Can I ask where the spreader block came from? Been after one for a while now with no joy so it looks like a DIY job (hurray!)

Its not the one recently on ebay by chance?? I would be interested to see how this turns out as this is my next project along with a walker style carp net.
I have laid aside business, and gone a'fishing.

I have a Barder Crabtree net and the dimensions are:

The piece of ash used to make the hoop:
Circumference of hoop 179 cm
Width of piece of ash 2.2 cm
Thickness of piece of ash 0.75 cm

Length of hoop from spreader block to top 66 cm
Width of hoop at widest point 51 cm
