West Essex Specimen Group Landing Net

Post by BobH »

Back in the 1950/60s three of the above members made a Cane armed Landing net which they sold to the Members and later through Dons of Edmonton.

The Makers were Roy Child, Lenny Savage and Ray Taylor.

I broke mine many years ago, but was fortuneate to be given Ray Talor's original net, which is now renovated and I'm using.

Chapmans of Ware are making me a landing net handle to match.

I'm sure someone will be along shortly to explain it. I can do it, often badly or totally wrong. So I will leave it to the experts.
