Marco Medway restoration.

Just built or restored a cane rod or need some advise then let us know in here.

What a cracking job. I'm always interested in anything with the name Medway as it's our biggest Kent river....and very lovely in places

I've just acquired what I thought was a 'Medway' and fishing primarily on the upper stretches of my local river wanted confirmation. Everything in this thread points to my assumption being correct.
Of course, now I have the task of matching the work done here. I'll have a go, but how will I ever be able to reproduce the decal?
To catch is good, to return your catch is better.....

Simply, don't reproduce it, just rename your rod a 'Marco Mudway'. :Hat:

That really is a super job, congratulations on such a great boot sale find and transforming a rod from an unloved relic into a very desirable piece of vintage kit!
I love to see restorations on the forum, its so good that these old rods find a new lease of life and hopefully go on to catch many more fish for their custodians :Thumb:
