Craftversa, a dream realised...

Post by Crucian » Wed Dec 20, 2017 3:29 pm

The Milwards Craftversa is a rod I have always wanted to own, but when the odd one came up for sale, the price was always more than I could afford.
I then decided that the only way was to build one from scratch, not realising how difficult it was going to be to obtain the tapers.
I almost gave up, especially after being advised that the rod, having a reverse tapered butt, couldn't be built on a normal steel planing form...
Thanks to the kindness of fellow forum member 'Jardine' who allowed me to measure his rod, I have recently finished my replica.
Looking forward to a chub or two in the new year.ImageImageImageImageImageImage

That looks lovely Crucian, good luck on its maiden voyage and the chub.

Wonderful, just wonderful.
