Piper's Silk

Just built or restored a cane rod or need some advise then let us know in here.

I've actually given up on using the stuff I received. Just by way of a test I whipped a small piece of spare cane and sealed it, alongside another sample, sealed in the same way. The Piper's as I suspected is now as near black as makes no difference. The other sample only darkened slightly.
