i fished that river on a holiday a long time ago i had a cracking roach over a pound but it was hard work maggots did not seem to work it was worms that they wanted and we did not have any.

a beautiful area though and the river was stunning. Although damn it was windy.

i could tell you the story of chasing 5 gallon of maggots down the towns high street that was fun.

or the one about my dad getting so drunk on the coach home on drambuie and vodka, a bottle in each hand if you please, you try carrying two people's tackle and luggage half way across london on the underground with a p****ed up Pater in tow
