The Secret Carp Audio Tape

Watched a good traditional fishing DVD lately, why not talk about it in here.

The Secret Carp Audio Tape

Post by Mark » Thu Aug 25, 2011 10:48 pm

This is an audio cassette to accompany the book “The Secret Carp by Chris Yates”. You can’t read and drive so what better than to slip the cassette in your car and listen to Chris reading the book for you while your travelling.

You can still find the odd copy floating around on Ebay.

I have this for a couple of years now. And this Januari I will convert it to MP3 files.
Does anybody know if there are more fishing audio books available?

I converted my tapes to MP3 files a few years ago and I still love listening to them in the car.

I don't know of any other fishing audio books that I would be interested in listening to.

As I was converting I spotted that there are some chapters 'missing' on the tape. Could it be there were some chapters written and added in the later prints? As I was scanning the audio I also noticed a difference in text (last words of the chapter 'a new rod'):

book:
thank you i said to the fish, the emergency gillie and the rodmaker
audio:
thank you i said to the emergency gillie, the rodmaker and the fish

(it is a long time ago ive read the book, might be possible the answer is there but then I forgot haha)
