Hook, line and Sheffield 1963

Post by Grazy »

This was posted this recently on my club forum as a trip down memory lane and I thought it was worth a mention on here. Reminiscent of the old days of large British companies and their Sports and Social clubs, very fond memories of the Plessey Sports and Social club when I joined as an apprentice in the early eighties sadly all gone now but a great way to relax and take part in sports and social events.

Enjoy the footage, some of you may have been lucky enough to have taken part in such antics!!

Thanks for that Grazy.....proper fishing.

Loved watching the film as it really shows what this country has lost, in my life time :(

It was only 1963 but really could have been a century or more ago.

As ever,.....

Mole Power!!!
Say aye tae'a pie!

Ooh I did enjoy that :Hat:

He wasn't so right about the 'as long as there's rivers' and matchmen though.......not too many matches on the rivers these days.

Just brilliant! Loved every second of that. A fantastic document of life in the past. Loved the comment from his son, he gets his pocket money after his dad's been fishing. Thanks for sharing, it's made my day!
