Looks rather splendid. I could just see a small colonial style table under the veranda with the gin and tonic on it!!

According to Ray Mears this is called a Baker's tent or Baker tent. Such nice "outdoor houses" are still made:

Cursedly expensive though.

Edit: Where the chaps are sitting to wet a line usually burns an open fire...

7 Quid was a lot of money back in the early 60s. Just needs a waiter with a tray for the drinks. I have a feeling that originally Baker tents were originally used by trappers and traders, often packed in large canoes. They date back into the 19th century but presumably not related to fishing at that time

Approximately £150 in today's money for a 3 man Bivvy,delivered. :Hat:

OZ tents is the brand. Absurdly expensive but very good quality I'm told.....

No doubt quality need its price. It's the ridiculous cheap things in lack of any quality that drives the prices mad.
