Is it a lure?

Post by LuckyLuca »

I noticed a couple of lures recently on that auction site very similar to one I've had kicking around for a while. I thought it was a novelty item to be honest. Have I got a vintage (and surprisingly expensive) lure?

I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

I've seen similar and think it's possibly an old Hardy lure, and I think I remember that the one I saw was going for double figures. How long is it?

Hi Trevor, roughly 2" long. Hardy? That would be nice. I've been close to throwing it away a few times

Don't quote me on it being a Hardy. I'm always wrong about these things!!!!

Found this similar one in a Fishing Museum online. So yours is probably an ear ring!!!!

Not so lucky today Luca. I think you'll find it's a pendant, you can get similar earrings (I'm wearing some now). Have a look at Google images of articulated fish pendants.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

No apologies needed Dave. I rather thought that might be the case, but thought it better to ask the forum before I made a complete fool of my self. Well more than I usually do anyway!
