Another what is it

Post by Harry H »

Bought this today not quite sure what it is.
It has a piece of brass at one end and has a 3/8" thread alloy cap at the other where the lanyard is attached and inscribed Milwards made in England. I'm thinking probably a priest or a short handle for a wading net? Anyone know for sure? :Hat: Image
There are three things that improve with age: wine, friendship and water sense, and there's no short cut.

Is it an extension butt for a salmon rod?
Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.
