Tool makers cabinet.

Not strictly tackle, but I have just procured a tool makers cabinet to help organise some bits and pieces in the man cave.
I've watched patiently for quite a while as these tend to come up well beyond my meager funds. Luckily one with faults came up locally so I was able to haggle a decent price knowing that I would only be elbow grease away from a nice thing.

I love these. Mrs AA got me one about six years back for my 'indoor tools'. Do show us the 'elbow greased' version. :Hat:

That's odd. There was a lovely example of these on the Antiques Roadshow last night. It was in lovely condition complete with original tools apparently. It was priced at around £2500 I think. I had never seen one before and 2 pop up together!!

Hi Dave,
Yes I saw that one. What a magnificent thing. Mine is some what more of a budget version.
As we watched The antiques roadshow I said to Mrs LL that I'd like one for Christmas :Beg: , then they said the price....... Deafening silence :laugh1:

Elbow greased and ready for loading.
I have some vintage (1971) news papers tucked away which I'll line the drawers with, which should look nice. Hopefully finding three more handles won't be too difficult.

Fits in the man cave lovely.

Very nice LL (I wish my desk/bench/workspace was that tidy).

That looks just too tidy chum....clearly tidied up for the photo me thinks! Although I guess you have no excuse not to be tidy now you have somewhere to store all your stuff?
Nice cabinet, I can see why you've been on the look out for one, well done you!

I love the photos of your man cave, especially the one with the top shelf of fishing reels. The cabinet looks to be Victorian ?
Best regards
Mem

Cheers Chaps.
Only tidy because I've just finished moving in! It'll not look like that for long!

Mem. I'm not sure when it would date from. I guess they've been made throughout the last hundred years or more?

A fine looking cabinet and a good addition to the man cave.
