BFI - Film Archives - Angling Films

Post by TemeLAD » Wed Dec 09, 2015 3:40 pm

Deep in the bowels of the BFI archives website: http://www.player.bfi.org.uk (apologies if this isn't a direct link but you should find it with this - update: direct link added further down this thread - many thanks NiceRoach  ) is a superb 25 min B&W film called A Kind of Heaven - featuring amongst other things our much loved BV in a classic monologue, his unmistakable clipped tones are simply the best!

Also featuring on the same site: Hook, Line & Sheffield 1963 (colour & sound 12 mins - includes a nice scene inside Bennetts Angling Store), Angling Competition at Richmond 1915, Angling Championships 1953 (13 mins no sound). Go to the home page and type the title in to the search facility.

Well done BFI and heres to more angling clips being added in the future (just look at how many soccer clips have been added - hundreds!)
