Advanced Angling book from 1952

Post by Tonytoned » Sat Oct 06, 2018 9:53 am

Hello Everyone

Tonight my friend gave me a box of books that were his Uncle Len's who we used to fish with back in the 1970's, and among the books was this little gem. News of the World - ADVANCED ANGLING. First published in 1952. Inside was a couple of advertisements and a fishing competition to win a split cane sea rod and snippets covering all aspects of fishing. Coarse, Sea and Game.

Thank you for your time and enjoy.

That is a superb post Tonytoned. I have never heard of, or seen this publication before. It would be nice to have a day, back in 1952.....
Trouble is, the fish just don't read the books......

I like the idea of the Homers stuffing department in 1952!

1952 - those were the days. Or were they? I’m not sure - I was only two years old after all.
Trouble is, the fish just don't read the books......
