What was your first fishing book?
Re: What was your first fishing book?
In my case the first fishing book I owned was 'Fishing' by George Clifford. With hindsight it was not the greatest book but it did contain some useful information and as a nine-year old it captured my imagination and fired my enthusiasm. I remember learning all the then current British record weights listed, together with the venue and captors' names.

This brings back some good memories. I had this and I’m always going on about to my wife to this day. I’d love to get another copy.MGs wrote:Not so much a book as a folder. Jonathan Webb's Angling
I still have it.
I read books before this but they all belonged to my Dad

Re: What was your first fishing book?
My first real fishing book was Mr Crabtree and this sat alongside my Observers book of Birds eggs. These two books I still have copies of, and each time I open them I am transported back to care free days without the problems that growing up brings.
