Re: Mr Crabtree Style Books
Fishing with Emma and Fishing in the Footsteps of Mr. Crabtree are two recent books that are very similar in style.
A couple of older ones come to mind too such as On the Line by John Mitchell and Angler's Mail Coarse Fishing Year edited by Roy Westwood.

Tony Whieldon did at least one. Keith Linsell did another with Trevor Housby; I remember this one because my junior school had it when it came out. Mr Field and Bob.

Forgot about Angling with Mr Field and Bob. That's a really nice book.

Re: Mr Crabtree Style Books
Cartoon strip type books that I have which include Mr Crabtree types...
Lets go Fishing No1 and No2 which include Mr Cherry and Jim strips by B Venables.
Fishing with Terry and Son by Conrad Frost and illustrated by Ronald Embleton and Alex Jardine. Very B Venables like.
Better pole fishing by Dave Coster and Tony Whieldon also Keith Arthur and Kim Milsom. More modern, but comic strip style articles included like B Venables but in colour.

Re: Mr Crabtree Style Books
Tony Whieldon's course fishing was my first book on fishing and it lived in my tackle bag for a long time until I has mastered all the techniques within it. I would like to see an updated version come out and more youngsters learning the basics. His roach fishing book is also a cracker and well worth tracking down on ebay.

Re: Mr Crabtree Style Books
A few have tried to emulate Bernard Venables, but in my most humble opinion no one has come close to the master.

Re: Mr Crabtree Style Books
Below are the venables cartoon books.
I think this one is the nearest I've found to the Mr Crabtree/Mr Cherry style. It's by Hugh Stoker, the artist is Arnold Wiles published in 1966.
