The rivers have been so low this year that the residents have complained about the dust being kicked up by the salmon !!

Love it

I will make you Fishers of Men said Fish to Fishes
For Fish is Fisher of Man who Fishes
And if Man is Fisher of Fish and Fisher of Men
And Fish is Fisher of Man and Fisher of Fish
And then that Man is Manna of Man
Then we'll get there if we can.

well-i am a notorious guesser!!!!! drives bamf mad: phone call to les:

me 'alright les, just had a bloody good barbel out the wye-probably a bit over 9lb'
les 'good shot son-what did it weigh?'
me 'dunno-but was easily a 9'
les 'YOU DIDN'T WEIGH IT! DOESN'T COUNT UNLESS YOU WEIGH IT, YOU WANNA WATCH IT YOU DO, YOU'LL GET A REPUTATION FOR TALKING S#!# (probably already have!) YOU WILL, BLAH BLAH BLAH....I'M GOING TO BUY YOU SOME BLEEDING SCALES! PROBLEM IS YOU'LL LOOSE THE THINGS (should be more profanities really- and i do have a set of salters that are with me most of the time anyway!)'

in my defence i'm usually only a few oz's out on a guess when weighed and if i estimate i always under estimate and if i stipulate an exact weight it is because i've weighed it!

The efficient roach angler need never suffer from an inferiority complex, no matter what branch of fishing he may eventually take up.
My honest opinion is that salmon and trout fishing are simple by comparison.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, give him a rod and reel and he will bugger off for the whole weekend. :hide:
Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish
