Chris yates is indeed one of the best angling authors alive today, the only other author I would say is comparable is John Gierach.

Agree with the above. Angling journalist Greg Meenehan once said Chris Yates’ books should be made available on the NHS because of their beneficial effects on mood and their ability to promote a sense of wellbeing. Out of the Blue definitely had this effect on me. It’s so evocative of the sea that reading it you can almost smell the ozone and taste the salt spray.

Wish he’d hurry up and finish his winter book...

My favourite Chris Yates book is the incomparable 'Casting At The Sun' but this is a close second.
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old Time is still a-flying;

im a fan of sea fishing too and i love catching bass
