I`m a new member here & thought others might like a read of this book. Published in 1947 it`s the memoirs of a fairly young man`s game fishing exploits in Scotland, but blended with the fishing are his exploits in his aircraft. He also wrote `Fishing for trout & Salmon`, books on the Fleet Air Arm, natural history & shooting. I believe he died in a gliding accident in 1948.
The book has some lovely illustrations by Charles Tunnicliffe. It seems to be available for a few pounds , I got mine for 50p at a local market & have enjoyed it very much, his writing style very much of the period which suits me & hopefully some other members.

Re: Fishing and Flying Terence Horsley
Hello JulianM, welcome to the TFF.
Thank you for introducing me to Terence Horsley's books.
Following some quick research I bought Fishing and Flying. I also bought "Find, Fix, and Strike" as my father was in the Fleet Air Arm at that time (and flew Stringbags). I'm looking forward to reading both books.
