Men of Trent

Post by StefanDuma » Thu Jun 07, 2018 9:40 pm

My long awaited book Men of Trent is printed and I have received the advanced copies as per the pictures. Me looking rather pleased.

Its 208 pages with more than 250 full colour images of reels covering the period 1815 to approx 1880.

It dates the invention of the "centre reel, centre pin", it identifies the inventor of the so called Slater/spring latch.

It cover the William Bailey vs Joe Woodard matches and for the first time a picture of William Bailey.

Its available for pre-order on the website link below.

Order placed Stefan. Looking forward to this new addition to my angling library. Many thanks

The good angler is not the one with expensive equipment. Common sense, observation and trying to realize
what is happening above and below water will catch fish no matter what price equipment you fish with.

All done.
If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.
