Some light relief - if you can find a copy

Post by MGs »

I'm pretty sure that this particular volume came from my dad who had it new.

Teach Yourself Fishing - Tom Rodway, published in 1950.

An interesting read if you like angling history. Although the likes of Walker and Ingham were innovating significantly in various fields of angling through the 50s and 60s, this book describes how angling was, for the majority of us. I'm not
sure I would follow it religiously now but it would still get you catching fish.

The most precious places in the English landscape are those secretive corners,
where you find only elder trees, nettles and dreams. (BB - Denys Watkins-Pitchford).
