A lovely fish Richard, like you I had never caught one of the bigger Perch, but within the last two years I caught a P.B Perch of 2lb 10ozs!!

An ounce over my pb too Rich. Persistence along with instinct makes it an outstanding catch. Using a bicycle pump to make it look bigger though, is questionable :Sarcasm:

I would stay in "smug mode" for at least a month if I caught that great perch, well done.
If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.

Well done keep up the looking smug they were obviously talking carp(not sure I've spelt that correctly) :Chuckle:
