Avon Roach

Yesterday 1300-1400hrs

Matron wanted to visit her sister so let the Fat One have a very short session on the Salisbury Town Stretch:

Just time for these two......not monsters but both just over the pound and good to see :Hat:

Both came to waggler and punch bread. Could it be I'm getting the hang of this?

Time was of the essence and had to pack to ensure staying in the good books of the beast :Thumb:

Also the promise of a chicken roast dinner was too much for someone as fat as me....... :Hahaha:

Delicious, Moley (the roach and the roast  ) I do hope you left a few roach unmolested for me to catch on my return (tomorrow). Well, maybe not fishing tomorrow, but we do fly back tomorrow.

Thanks Harry H.......two decent roach in under an hour of fishing with the roast chicken dinner very good as well; not a bad start to 2017

I worry about you Garry.....the chicken roast was delicious but roach? What have you been eating in America? We must get together with JAA and Dave soon, perhaps on Britford. because the town stretches are not easy to park at, as far as I can see.

Also only certain swims are any good :Hat:

Many thanks for the kind words everyone, I enjoy catching quality roach probably more than any other fish

Good one Mr Moley. Did you fish right in the City Centre? I look after one of the Salisbury NHS Clinics and it is right beside the river. Very shallow and clear it be. Never seen a fish in it yet? Not sure if it is the Avon or a trib..
