Blenheim Palace lakes are supposed to contain some really nice Tench, fishing from punts only which only adds to the attraction for me.
Somewhere on my to do list when I get up and running with my traditional tackle.

I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

I have fished Blenheim for pike and perch a few times but not yet in summer for tench. I'd certainly be up for a tench outing. Not cheap though.

Looks a very nice place.
However I am always put off by places that have the following rule ( which this one has):

'Fishing from designated platforms only'
There is no peace on earth like the peace of fishing in the early mornings

Tench Dreamer, I didn't realize things were so bad on the east side of London, here on the west side we're spoiled for choice.

Cant argue with you there what a stunning looking place and i like there attitude towards protecting crucians.

i have a club pit which now does 10lb tench, small only 2 acres, but quite deep and hard to float fish unless you use a polaris or the like.

how i yearn for a quiet secluded lillie covered estate lake or pond about four five foot deep where the lift method reigns, the tench bubble their heads off and fight like demons. :Beg: :Beg:
